Thornbury

Located right on Georgian Bay, Thornbury is a small trendy town where chic meets old-style. With beautifully preserved century homes and buildings, the Main Street is lined with grand homes, cafes, boutique shops, and restaurants. Popular with tourists, Thornbury is a buzz of activity on weekends and holidays. During the winter, its variety of fine restaurants offer an ideal après-ski spot for dining. There are lovely walking and biking trails here plus a marina, parks, beaches, and an ideal fishing spot as the Beaver River empties into the bay here. Throughout the year, there are a variety of seasonal events, including the Farmer’s Market, Fall Fair, Olde Fashioned Christmas, and more. Thornbury features a community center, arena, elementary school, library, and leads into the neighbouring Village of Clarksburg, also known as “Artsburg”.
